MTV Interview: Kristen and Joan Jett”

Along with the slues of videos of Kristen from Sundance we have already seen, MTV has up another one, accompanied by a great interview. As most of us know, Kristen will be portraying Joan Jett in the up-coming, The Runaways.

“I’m, like, vibrating,” grinned Stewart when we asked about “The Runaways,” a 1970’s-era flick about the influential all-girl rock band fronted by Jett and Lita Ford. “I’m just so excited about that movie.”

“I’m really, exceedingly, more excited than normal,” she laughed.

Directed by Floria Sigismondi, the flick will tell the story of the teenage band who were brought together and thrown into leather and lace, performing such sneer-filled songs as “Cherry Bomb.” Although they barely lasted four years and only put out a handful of albums, the band was able to overcome their sleazy “jailbait” gimmick to become an influential punk band that would eventually help birth such successors as The Breeders, L7 and The Donnas.

Jackson Rathbone’s Concert Diary

Jackson Rathbone is so awesome. He did MTV, and his fans, an awesome favor by keeping a short video diary of one of the shows for his band, 100 Monkeys. There are more of his video diaries to come, so check back at MTV a little later.

Not content to simply talk to Jackson, we gave him a video camera to capture his first-person experience at one of his 100 Monkeys shows. Watch it below and check back tomorrow for more with the ‘Twilight’ star.

MTV’s Interview with Jackson Rathbone

MTV posted a new interview Jackson Rathbone where they  talked about the script of New Moon, the new director, and, what I am REALLY looking forward to: the infamous papercut scene!

When we asked Rathbone about the controversies surrounding new director Chris Weitz replacing “Twilight” filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke, his reply was simple and honest, just like something you might hear from his character Jasper Hale. “Oh, that’s one of those things that’s kind of a whole political side of the acting thing, you know?” he shrugged. “I really don’t know much about [the change in directors]; I’m just an actor. They tell me where to stand and what to say.”

Spunky New Hair Cut

I was going to post something about Rob’s hair the other day, but I wanted to wait for some good articles. But, now that there’s tons of buzz over Rob’s new hair cut, MTV, People, and NineMSN have wonderful articles up. And guess what? They all want to know what you think about his hair cut!

“Twilight” star Robert Pattinson is known for a lot of things, but first and foremost has to be his wildly styled hairdo that’s gotten Twilighters everywhere atwitter at the sight of him. So does hair make the man? That question will finally be answered, as Pattinson has decided to ditch his trademark locks in favor of a much shorter cut.

Let MTV know what you think HERE. And you can also check out their photos of his new do. Is he still the man who stole your heart? Two words: HECK. YES!  People have another poll for you to vote. So far, survey says we love it. Of course!

Vote on whether or not the do works for you HERE. nineMSN also wants to know what you think of Robert Pattinson’s new haircut with anther poll. Go over and vote!

While it’s definitely a bit spunky, we can’t help but think there’ll be a few million girls weeping into their Twilight pillowcases over this one. Robert recently confessed to ITN Showbiz that he was confused by the incessant screaming of his adoring fans. ‘If you’ve got loads of people screaming at you, it’s like, what do you want me to do?’ he said. ‘But people just want to scream. You’re like a vessel for screamings, screaming sessions.’ What we want to know is – when will his hair clippings hit eBay? Imagine the bidding frenzy!

Vote for whether you think Rob’s haircut looks good or not on their site here.

MTV’s Woman of the Year

MTV has just named their woman of the year: TWILIGHTERS. Well, I guess that could be women of the year, right? Yay for our awesomeness!

281x211[this is me adding the video later…]

When Hollywood dismissed “Twilight” as a “one-quadrant” niche film, you responded by giving it a bigger opening than “WALL-E,” “Chronicles of Narnia” or “Star Wars: Episode 1.” When Harry Potter fans looked down their noses, you fired back by standing in midnight lines for hours to help “Breaking Dawn” rock the publishing industry. You took over Comic-Con, Westwood and the rest of the world.

If you’re one of the millions of women who live and die by “Twilight,” please take a quick glance into the nearest mirror — because MTV News’ Woman of the Year is you.

MTV Kellan Lutz Interview

Who should direct New Moon?

Larry has posted a new blog where he gives us a list of a couple of suggestions of which directors would be fit to direct New Moon:

Even as the film continues to ride high at the box office, the “Twilight” world was rocked this weekend by news that Catherine Hardwicke would not be directing the sequel, putting an end to the big plans she had for the series.

As Twilighters wipe aside the tears for their beloved Catherine, however, they must focus on looking ahead to the obvious question: Who will direct “New Moon”? With only a few months until cameras begin rolling, we examine the benefits and drawbacks of a few potential applicants
